I’m known for showing clients the back of my camera because I’m eager for you to see the magic unfolding in real-time. Seeing your reactions and sharing that immediate joy

is one of my favorite parts

of the process.

This week, I’ve been reflecting on how living in a tiny apartment for 8 months completely shifted my perspective on what I truly need in life. Ten years ago, when I was house hunting, I had a long list of “must-haves” that made it hard to settle—things like a finished basement, a large walk-in closet, and an attached garage.

Fast forward to living in the apartment — a space with just two rooms, four windows, no yard, no washer and dryer, no dishwasher, a compact oven, and two tiny closets—it’s given me a whole new appreciation for what I have now. This house may have small rooms, but with seven of them, it feels like more than enough. I’m so grateful for the unfinished basement to store things, the front porch that makes me smile every time I step outside, and the simple joy of loading the dishwasher.

I hope I never lose sight of this gratitude.

And as always, I’m thankful for the best clients in the world. Thank you for your incredible patience during this busy transition. Now that I’m mostly organized I plan to edit my heart out the rest of today and tomorrow, with our family gatherings over the weekend. Have a lovely Thanksgiving!! xoxo

I’ve known Madison for a long time, but just met Matthew on the night of pictures, and it just solidifies for me how important engagement pictures are for building rapport with your wedding photographer. //
I learned that Matthew can be quite silly, but in a quiet, confident way, and he’s up for anything. These two together are adorable and I can’t wait to work with them again on their big day!

I met Michelle a couple years ago through Instagram over our shared love for tea, and now she and her husband are two of my closest friends! They’re warm and sweet, and I feel like I’ve known forever.

I’ll never forget the morning I was moving into my apartment and these guys were going to pop in to say hi. When they got here, I was a bit frantic because the place needed a good deep clean before the guys brought the furniture up. Michelle and Logan wouldn’t take no for an answer…Logan was washing windows then scrubbing baseboards and Michelle was sweeping & mopping the floors, then deep cleaning the kitchen. Literal life savers and so very selfless of them to do on their Saturday morning. Will never forget it!
